About color Security Exposure

This page consolidates all known Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) associated with color. We track both calendar-based metrics (using fixed periods) and rolling metrics (using gliding windows) to give you a comprehensive view of security trends and risk evolution. Use these insights to assess risk and plan your patching strategy.

For a broader perspective on cybersecurity threats, explore the comprehensive list of CVEs by vendor and product. Stay updated on critical vulnerabilities affecting major software and hardware providers.

CVE-2026-27692 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 25 Feb 2026, 15:20 UTC

iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. In versions up to and including 2.3.1.4, heap-buffer-overflow read occurs during CIccTagTextDescription::Release() when strlen() reads past a heap buffer while parsing ICC profile XML text description tags, causing a crash. Commit 29d088840b962a7cdd35993dfabc2cb35a049847 fixes the issue. No known workarounds are available.

CVE-2026-27691 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 25 Feb 2026, 15:20 UTC

iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. In versions up to and including 2.3.1.4, signed integer overflow in iccFromCube.cpp during multiplication triggers undefined behavior, potentially causing crashes or incorrect ICC profile generation when processing crafted/large cube inputs. Commit 43ae18dd69fc70190d3632a18a3af2f3da1e052a fixes the issue. No known workarounds are available.

CVE-2023-48736 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 18 Nov 2023, 19:15 UTC

In International Color Consortium DemoIccMAX 3e7948b, CIccCLUT::Interp2d in IccTagLut.cpp in libSampleICC.a has an out-of-bounds read.

CVE-2023-47249 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 05 Nov 2023, 00:15 UTC

In International Color Consortium DemoIccMAX 79ecb74, a CIccXmlArrayType:::ParseText function (for unsigned short) in IccUtilXml.cpp in libIccXML.a has an out-of-bounds read.

CVE-2023-46867 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 30 Oct 2023, 03:15 UTC

In International Color Consortium DemoIccMAX 79ecb74, CIccXformMatrixTRC::GetCurve in IccCmm.cpp in libSampleICC.a has a NULL pointer dereference.

CVE-2023-46866 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 30 Oct 2023, 03:15 UTC

In International Color Consortium DemoIccMAX 79ecb74, CIccCLUT::Interp3d in IccProfLib/IccTagLut.cpp in libSampleICC.a attempts to access array elements at out-of-bounds indexes.

CVE-2023-46603 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 23 Oct 2023, 20:15 UTC

In International Color Consortium DemoIccMAX 79ecb74, there is an out-of-bounds read in the CIccPRMG::GetChroma function in IccProfLib/IccPrmg.cpp in libSampleICC.a.

CVE-2023-46602 color vulnerability CVSS: 0 23 Oct 2023, 20:15 UTC

In International Color Consortium DemoIccMAX 79ecb74, there is a stack-based buffer overflow in the icFixXml function in IccXML/IccLibXML/IccUtilXml.cpp in libIccXML.a.

CVE-2012-4405 color vulnerability CVSS: 6.8 18 Sep 2012, 17:55 UTC

Multiple integer underflows in the icmLut_allocate function in International Color Consortium (ICC) Format library (icclib), as used in Ghostscript 9.06 and Argyll Color Management System, allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted (1) PostScript or (2) PDF file with embedded images, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow. NOTE: this issue is also described as an array index error.

CVE-2012-1616 color vulnerability CVSS: 9.3 21 Jun 2012, 15:55 UTC

Use-after-free vulnerability in icclib before 2.13, as used by Argyll CMS before 1.4 and possibly other programs, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via a crafted ICC profile file.
