CVE-2026-21727 Vulnerability Summary

CVE-2026-21727: --- title: Cross-Tenant Legacy Correlation Disclosure and Deletion draft: false hero: image: /static/img/heros/hero-legal2.svg content: "# Cross-Tenant Legacy Correlation Disclosure and Deletion" date: 2026-01-29 product: Grafana severity: Low cve: CVE-2026-21727 cvss_score: "3.3" cvss_vector: "CVSS:3.3/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N" fixed_versions: - ">=11.6.11 >=12.0.9 >=12.1.6 >=12.2.4" --- A cross-tenant isolation vulnerability was found in Grafana’s Correlations feature affecting legacy correlation records. Due to a backward compatibility condition allowing org_id = 0 records to be returned across organizations, a user with datasource management privileges could read and permanently delete legacy correlation data belonging to another organization. This issue affects correlations created prior to Grafana 10.2 and is fixed in >=11.6.11, >=12.0.9, >=12.1.6, and >=12.2.4. Thanks to Gyu-hyeok Lee (g2h) for reporting this vulnerability.

Assessing the Risk of CVE-2026-21727

Access Complexity Graph

The exploitability of CVE-2026-21727 depends on two key factors: attack complexity (the level of effort required to execute an exploit) and privileges required (the access level an attacker needs).

Exploitability Analysis for CVE-2026-21727

The exploitability of CVE-2026-21727 is influenced by multiple factors. Security teams should analyze system configurations and apply appropriate countermeasures to mitigate threats.

Understanding AC and PR

A lower complexity and fewer privilege requirements make exploitation easier. Security teams should evaluate these aspects to determine the urgency of mitigation strategies, such as patch management and access control policies.

Attack Complexity (AC) measures the difficulty in executing an exploit. A high AC means that specific conditions must be met, making an attack more challenging, while a low AC means the vulnerability can be exploited with minimal effort.

Privileges Required (PR) determine the level of system access necessary for an attack. Vulnerabilities requiring no privileges are more accessible to attackers, whereas high privilege requirements limit exploitation to authorized users with elevated access.

CVSS Score Breakdown Chart

Above is the CVSS Sub-score Breakdown for CVE-2026-21727, illustrating how Base, Impact, and Exploitability factors combine to form the overall severity rating. A higher sub-score typically indicates a more severe or easier-to-exploit vulnerability.

CIA Impact Analysis

Below is the Impact Analysis for CVE-2026-21727, showing how Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability might be affected if the vulnerability is exploited. Higher values usually signal greater potential damage.

  • Confidentiality: Low
CVE-2026-21727 could lead to minor leaks of non-critical information without major privacy breaches.
  • Integrity: Low
Exploiting CVE-2026-21727 may cause minor changes to data without severely impacting its accuracy.
  • Availability: None
CVE-2026-21727 does not impact system availability.
